Lot’s Wife

Lately I have been meditating on the scripture in the book of Genesis regarding Lot removing his family from Sodom and Gomorrah. Escaping all she had ever known, Lot’s wife looked back and immediately turned into a pillar of salt.

She was forever stuck in that same spot. One glance back to all that she was leaving behind fixated her in a place where she could not move forward to the promises that God was placing before her and her family.

This is where I am now. STUCK! I do not know how to move beyond some areas of my past to accept the grace and forgiveness God has provided me based on past actions, choices and decisions. I am in an emotional rut that I cannot seem to climb out of. I wake up daily praying to move and make the right decisions, but I keep looking back and getting stuck. Not wanting to make the same wrong choices from the past, not wanting to compare circumstances, not wanting to believe that there is no path forward.

Today, Lord, I lean completely on you for strength, guidance and leadership. Lord, let your will be down in my life and I am surrendering all that I am unto you.

Amen
