Today, I thought about the story of Gideon and decided to re-read his story in the book of Judges.

There are so many times when I have questioned God, his plan and how I fit into that plan.

but why

Why me

But but but…

There were many times when I had prayed for a sign and then another because I wanted to be sure…

What I was doing was doubting God and negating who he had already said I was.

When God first spoke to Gideon, he called him a mighty warrior and told him that HE was with him.

Gideon continued to doubt himself in some of the same ways, I have doubted myself.

The toughest thing I’ve had to work through is figuring out why my first instinct has been to doubt versus having faith and believing and standing firmly in who God has called me to be.
