He who find a wife finds a good thing… Proverbs 18:22
I hear so many women quoting this particular scripture and always stating that we are the prize.
But are you really a good thing? What
makes you a prize and a good thing? Beyond your good looks, fabulous career and great yoni, what attributes do you exude that qualifies you as a good thing? These superficial things aren’t enough to sustain what position the scripture Proverbs 18:22 is speaking of.
I had a recent conversation regarding a video I posted about a woman’s role in a marriage. It was about why is the burden always placed on the woman. Well, as a woman, I can only speak on things related to women. I feel that we often get to wrapped up in worrying about what a man should or shouldn’t be doing and aren’t focusing on the areas in our own lives that need repair.
We expect a man to come in fulfilling all these notations on our lists that we aren’t even fulfilling ourselves. We at times expect a man to accept us in our brokenness but him come fully equipped to meet and exceed all of our needs. This is not fair, to him or to ourselves.
I have my list of what I’m working on. I am on the road to becoming that good thing…

Good read! As women we def have to look at ourselves to see what we can work on and bring to the table. We cannot expect a man to be everything we want and not be everything he wants. It’s not always a sexual thing. They have burdens and pain just like we do.
